LABELEXPO EUROPE 2025
Durst ‘Unboxing Excellence’ at Labelexpo Europe
Hybrid printing and the new G3 are hallmarks of Durst's Labelexpo Europe booth in Barcelona.
Durst is bringing its newest products to a global audience at Labelexpo Europe 2025. In addition to its latest digital hybrid printing capabilities in the form of the KJet, Durst is laucnhing G3.
G3 is a technology that has been designed for users to experience ease of use through intelligent design, where every detail is crafted for operator comfort, intuitive handling, and effortless maintenance. The goal: reliability, simplicity, and performance.
With two models – Tau G3 core and Tau G3 peak – the platform delivers razor-sharp 1200 dpi print quality, speeds up to 100 m/m, and excellent versatility across substrates and applications.
Guided by the principle “Reliability, Simplicity, Performance,” the Tau G3 introduces advanced automation features such as Durst ARC (Automatic Register Control), Durst MEP (Material Edge Protection), and Durst HAWK AI for intelligent monitoring, setting new standards in productivity and ease of use.
Attendees are invited to embrace automation for seamless production. The company’s integrated systems are working in harmony to deliver real-time correction, consistent performance, and minimal operator involvement.
Converters can achieve the highest performance and excellent print quality through innovative technology. Durst has emphasized precision engineering, delivering exceptional results at full speed, the company says.
“Converters of all sizes had the same question, ‘How do we reduce lead times, automate as much of the process from file receipt to shipping labels, reduce waste and reduce labor in every step of production?’ The future of the industry will be shaped by some of the new digital technologies that offer solutions to these needs that were seen at the show,” explains Steve Lynn, director of Labels and Packaging, Durst.
Hybrid printing
Hybrid printing is also a feature of the Labelexpo Europe booth. Durst’s KJet is a fully integrated digital/flexo/finishing hybrid that offers converters the ability to do short-, medium-, and long-run work more profitably. Companies can also expand into markets like shrink, with all of the advantages of high speed 1200 dpi.
“Hybrid has been around for some time, but recent developments with a 1200 dpi inkjet engine in hybrid configurations has advanced speed and quality while lowering ink consumption and cost,” adds Lynn. “These improvements in the latest generation of hybrid presses have accelerated interest and adoption of hybrid technology. Durst’s true native 1200dpi hybrids deliver exceptional quality at speeds up to 328 fpm. This has advanced converters’ ability to move more work to inkjet hybrid from flexo.”
